One of the pens behind the press
Gazz S. Quillan
Sci-Fi · Deep space, near futures · The science holds and so do the people
Gazz writes the future as somewhere people still have to get up for work. His ships are crewed by the tired and the underpaid, his colonies run on plumbing long before they run on ideals, and when the alien finally arrives there is usually a form to fill in first. Two decades of reading the genre and a good part of one writing it have left him with a single rule: the science has to hold, and so does the person standing inside it. Reads instruction manuals for pleasure and sees no reason to apologise.
